It may seem that the world is having a bit of a “mushroom moment”, with mycological scientific revelations, technology innovations, and mushroom-related wellness trends permeating the main stream. But why has it seemingly taken centuries for a fungi-fad to catch on, when they serve so many crucial roles for both people and planet? And what is fungi anyway, if not just “toadstools”?
